This centre which is a part of Asha Hospital, was established in 2010 and is situated at Malkaram Village, Shamshabad Mandal, near international airport is about 38 kms from the present set up. Asha Jyothi is spread over 1.4 acres of land, well-connected to the city by the outer ring road. The services provided at Asha Jyothi are not restricted to just rehabilitation.They also include medical review, occupational therapy , individual and family counseling, relapse prevention program, yoga and meditation. Its main aim is to provide rehabilitation services to all the strata of the society

The location is very ideal with greenery all around, away from the concrete jungles of the city and free from pollution. It is situated adjacent to the main road that connects Shamshabad to Shahbad which is well connected by public transport from Shamshabad bus stand and just takes about 15 minutes to reach the centre. It is spread across an area of 1.4 acres and the building is constructed in an area of 800sq yards. The built up area is around 18,000sft. The entire open area is utilized for recreational purpose.

It has a capacity of around 125 beds with a facility for further expansion. Presently the strength of the inmates on an average (70 males and 40 females) is around 110 patients. There are separate facilities for male and female patients in a secured environment. Rooms are spacious and well ventilated. Single, shared and dormitory type of accommodation is available as per the choice of the Clientele. The tariff for the accommodation is affordable depending upon the requirements.

The staff consists of a Psychiatrist who visits every day , full time duty doctors, an administrator, full time social workers, caretakers, adequate nursing and paramedical staff along with an occupational trainer. One of the directors of Asha Hospital along with other doctors visits the centre twice a week for review of the cases.
